Artist's Biography To call Brandon Fields a talented saxophonist is to understate the true musical genius of this diverse musician. Brandon, who learned the saxophone at the age of 10 while growing up in Orange County, CA, began working as a freelance musician while still a teenager, and has been busy ever since. Brandon's first solo album came out under the Nova label in 1986 to critical acclaim. There have been seven other solo albums since, including his latest, "Fields and Strings," released in late 1999 under the Paras Recording Company, which has been met with rave reviews.
Brandon Fields is no stranger to recording. His first time in the studio was in 1976, and since then he has appeared on hundreds of albums. His record credits read like a "who's who" of the musicbusiness, including Nancy Wilson, Phil Upchurch, George Duke, Stanley Clark, Ricky Peterson, Tower of Power, Terence Trent D'Arby, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Luther Vandross, Tom Petty, Quincy Jones, Los Lobotomys, Neil Larsen, Luis Conte, Alphonse Mouzon, Bill Meyers, Al Jarreau, Robben Ford, the Rippingtons, Alex Acuna, David Benoit, Michael McDonald, David Garfield, Lionel Richie, Harry Connick Jr., and Dave Weckl.
