With her debut CD "Tequila Moon" on Peak Records, vocalist/ saxophonist Jessy J had one of the most successful recordings in Contemporary Jazz of 2008, with the title track named #1 Song of the Year by both Billboard & Radio & Records. Jessy's sophomore release, "True Love" demonstrates Jessy ability to engage and captivate an audience earning her such accolades as a #3 debut on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Chart and another #1 song "Tropical Rain". Jessy has also received high critical acclaim -- hailed as a "unique voice with a gift for melodic improvisation" (All Music Guide); "flawless" (Jazz Times) ; credited with starting a new movement in Jazz in the May cover story of JAZZIZ magazine- "increasing the boundaries of jazz both musically and demographically;" and "revolutionizing jazz" as a young Latina by People Espanol.
